Additional Helpful Videos:

We've prepared additional videos that are helpful for translators who are using TBTA.  These videos are available below.

If you've been working on a language project and someone at All the Word sends you a new Bible and Ontology, you can simply replace your existing Bible.mdb with the new Bible.mdb.  However, you can't just replace your existing Ontology.mdb with the new Ontology.mdb because your language project is linked to the ontology that you've been using.  So when you receive a new Ontology.mdb, you need to go through the ontology update process.  This video shows you how to do the ontology update.

If someone at All the Word is helping you develop your lexicon and grammar, then whenever you're ready to begin working on a new chapter, you'll need to scan through that chapter and enter the missing target words.  This video describes that process.

If someone at All the Word is helping you develop your lexicon and grammar, then after you've worked through a new passage (typically a chapter or a book), the new grammar rules and the new lexical entries may produce a different translation for some of the verses that were previously translated and saved.  When that's the case, the person who is helping you will ask you to compare the new version of each  verse with the old version of that verse to see whether or not the new translation is an improvement.  This video describes that process.
